Leeds SOUP №7

The aim of Leeds SOUP is to change the local community for the better with a quarterly micro-funding experiment. It's based on the popular Detroit SOUP event.

Where: Dock 29, New Dock, Leeds
When: Arrive between 6:00 and 6:30pm
For each ticket, the whole value is added to a pot. There will be 4 people pitching their ideas, attendees will each get a voting token, each person will vote for the project they like the most. The winner takes the whole pot! The only requirement is the project needs to benefit Leeds.

6:00pm – Doors open – Get settled and mingle
7:00pm – Introduction and pitches – What is SOUP? Presenters pitch their community projects.
8:00pm – Dinner and voting – After the presentations are finished, take your token and place it in the box of your choice!
9:00pm – Winner is announced!

Venue change: We've moved across to Dock 29 at New Dock (Clarence Dock). This is a much bigger venue which will allow us to grow without changing.

Leeds SOUP No.3

Our first two events have raised over £3,000! It's time for another one.

After receiving brilliant support from The Adelphi, for capacity reasons we've moved across to The Tetley. This should mean more people get to see the presentations.

The aim of Leeds SOUP is to change the local community for the better with a quarterly microfunding experiment. It's based on the popular Detroit SOUP event.

When: Arrive between 6:00 and 6:30pm

For each ticket, the whole value is added to a pot. There will be 4 people pitching their ideas, attendees will each get a voting token, each person will vote for the project they like the most. The winner takes the whole pot! The only requirement is the project needs to benefit Leeds.

This event is kindly sponsored by Taste Cuisine who will be providing all the lovely soup and bread. Also sponsoring is aql who will be adding £600 to the winners pot.
